Cold sores

Cold sores (fever blisters) consist of clusters of tiny blisters on a reddened area of skin, most commonly near the mouth. The lesion is caused by a virus. The cold sore develops following overexposure to the sun, following a slight injury to the area, in connection with a devitalizing illness or fever, or even in response to emotional stress
