The group of amphetamines includes Benzedrine, Dexedrine, and Methedrine. They are used to reduce appetite and weight and to combat fatigue and depression. They are commonly involved in drug abuse under such names as "pep pills," "Bennies," and "speed. Over dosage causes serious symptoms and possible death.
